S.T.A.L.K.E.R.: Shadow of Chernobyl is a first-person shooter with role-playing elements developed by GSC Game World and released in 2007. Set in a post-apocalyptic open-world environment, the game is heavily inspired by the Chernobyl disaster and the novel Roadside Picnic by Arkady and Boris Strugatsky. It combines survival horror with elements of exploration, crafting, and non-linear storytelling, creating a unique and immersive experience for players.
